Description: Job Title: Operational Flight Trainer Software Engineering Associate Job Code: IMS20212911-73410 Job Location: OFFUTT AFB, NE Job Description: L3Harris is seeking an RC-135 Operational Flight Trainer (OFT) Software Engineering Associate for our location on Offutt AFB, NE.

The RC-135 OFT Software Engineer plays a key role in developing, maintaining, integrating, and testing software for the RC-135 OFT flight simulator at Offutt AFB.

This position will be responsible for host, instructor station, aural, flight controls, and motion software updates.

This position will be part of a talented team that strives to produce a realistic simulated environment for the USAF customer.

Essential Functions: Design, document, develop, integrate, and test software for applications using C/C++ on Windows and Linux operating systems.

Participate in peer reviews for software acceptance Develop deliverable test plans, procedures, and reports Collaborate with Visual Database implementation Participate in requirements development Participate in code reviews Document, debug, and correct Software Bugs Perform other tasks as needed Qualifications: DoD SECRET security clearance or ability to obtain one within the first 6 months Bachelor’s degree in a closely related field and 0-2 years of software engineering/programming experience.

Or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

Knowledge and understanding of C/C++ and understanding of modern object-oriented design and architecture Knowledge of computing architecture and operating systems Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment Preferred Additional Skills: Basic knowledge of aircraft/simulator systems, and creating/modifying Acceptance Test Procedures or debugging code while working on a project.
