Network Technology Specialist

Torch Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking a Network Technology Specialist to support a team developing prototype software products for government use.

The candidate will be part of a team developing, testing, and integrating new and existing modeling and simulation tools.

Qualified candidates will work within a collaborative team composed of both government and supporting contractor personnel.

The candidate will support network technology efforts in both corporate and government-owned facilities and as such must be able to work across multiple security, OS, and other constraints.

Job responsibilities will include:

• Assist with procuring, configuring, and maintaining development systems on both Windows and Linux platforms.
• Manage and maintain DevOps services for development teams (version control, build automation, issue tracking, and documentation).
• Respond to development team support issues.
• Identify and report opportunities for process and service improvements.
• Report software and hardware issues to systems engineering representatives and develop courses of action for correction.

• BS degree related to IT/Networking; or 2 years of related experience and anAssociates Degree.
• Experience creating and maintaining Windows and Linux OS configuration profiles, system image creation, and network operation.
• Proven experience in containerization technologies for application development to include Docker and Docker-Compose.
• Current/active CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Familiarity with DoD Risk Management Framework.
• Familiarity with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guidance.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP protocol suite, network security (firewalls, device hardening), IP routing, switching, and IP addressing.
• Must be able to lift office computing equipment including servers, desktop computers, and monitors.
