Network Services Manager

Advansix

This is a Full-time position in Chesterfield County, VA posted May 6, 2020.

The Network Services Manager is responsible for managing all enterprise network infrastructure, including firewalls, LAN/WAN switches and routers and the wireless networks.

This includes project management to implement new network services and upgrade existing services to grow and improve the voice and data networks, while maintaining access management, compliance and security.

The Network Services Manager ensures continuous operations for a 24X7 global business, as well as vendor and service provider management, business continuity management, infrastructure asset management and ITIL-based services.

The role partners with the Enterprise Hosting Services Manager and directly interfaces with the cyber security, procurement, process control engineering, and project engineering teams to deliver appropriate solutions across business and functional areas, providing exceptional user experiences and leveraging contemporary solutions wherever possible.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide the AdvanSix business with a complete IT service model for all network infrastructure
· Act as the steward and owner of AdvanSix network design, solutions, processes and assets, while also being an effective change agent for the IT organization
· Explore technology evolution and continue to grow vision for efficient networks of continuous operations business
· Ensure that all enterprise services are performed in a secure, safe, and compliant manner, meeting all AdvanSix internal and external standards and controls
· Leverage industry best practices to drive continuous improvement for AdvanSix IT
· Develop service roadmaps including strategic communications of new or enhanced services Design and deliver projects including the development and communication of project plans, schedules, cost, and metrics Provide overall coordination for projects from the of development of requirements through implementation, identification of potential risks and issues, and escalation if required Leverage technology advancements that improve processes and people to support top and bottom-line growth Work well with others both on the team and cross-functionally to achieve individual and organizational goals Invest time in upfront planning to efficiently achieve organizational goals and objectives following the appropriate processes and demonstrating accountability and continuous improvement
· Manage partner agreements including financial and on/offshore resources to maximize performance and results within service level agreements
· Foster positive relationships with partner account managers and other delivery teams to ensure efficient resolution of incidents and successful delivery of change requests
· Conduct operational reviews and ensure support concerns are addressed and service optimization opportunities are leveraged to improve customer experience
· Identify business investments and saving opportunities that will improve service and reduce overall year to year budget expenditures
· Partner with the architects & engineers to drive operational transformation, automation, and continuous improvements
· Follow ITIL standard methodologies in implementing, handling and delivering services
· Some travel is required (approximately 10%) Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, engineering, or business-related discipline
· 7 years of experience in IT enterprise service roles with a business or corporate team
· 5 years of experience with IT support functions highly desirable
· 3 years of relevant technical experience in network design and implementation of LAN and WAN solutions Additional Qualifications:
· Experience with network design, server and application hosting, IT continuity and disaster recovery planning, and service desk tools
· Working knowledge of security and compliance including host hardening and patch management
· ITIL Foundation Certificate is preferred
· Working knowledge of emerging network technologies and security best Demonstrated strategic planning abilities including problem/issue and objectives definition to create business solutions and roadmaps
· Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and effective/active listening skills
· Strong analytical skills to identify incident trends that enable process improvements;
· Proven ability to analyze complex problems and break them down into logical, actionable parts
· Demonstrated continuous improvement and creative problem-solving skills
· Experience managing a budget effectively and have solid contract management skills, including establishing service level agreements
· Ability to partner with business customers, vendors, and IT staff on cross-functional projects, and service improvements
· Strong knowledge of IT business processes and practices
· Self-motivated, demonstrated bias for action
· Strong business acumen with high attention to detail but able to see the big picture
