Network Engineer IV (7881) with Security Clearance

DESCRIPTION: Patricio Enterprises is actively searching for a Network Engineer IV to support Joint Project Manager Medical Countermeasure Systems (JPM MCS) team. Primary duties will include (but not limited to): * Possess a comprehensive understanding of the technical requirements of an information and data architect. * Possess an understanding of the use of XML/XSD and XML schemas in software project management. * Possess a general understanding of the scrum development process and Agile development methodology used in completing software projects. * Provide technical acquisition strategy and project management support to senior leadership. * Provide oversight on execution of development and maintenance of conceptual, logical, physical, and DBA data models in both relational and dimensional modeling techniques. * Coordinate, review, and analyze database structural requirements by assessing client operations, applications, and programming; reviewing objectives with clients; evaluating current systems; and assessing requirements in accordance with proposed cost and schedule. * Coordinate, manage, and participate in review of the data design of BI projects, to include determination of risk in the high-level design of the overall solution and detailed data design of components as needed (e.g., Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), Data Mart, ETL, user interface, analysis/reporting, etc.). * Manage and execute preparation of process models in accordance with the guidelines/conventions of designated process modeling methodology, including creation and maintenance of process descriptions and glossary of terms, to ensure successful project performance. * Manage the lifecycle database performance by identifying and resolving production and application development problems; calculating optimum values for parameters; evaluating, integrating, and installing new releases; completing maintenance; and answering user questions. * Monitor and, when required, provide database support, as well as monitoring and mitigating risks and reporting performance. * Support and maintain the BI system (i.e., Jaspersoft) by developing and maintaining reports and ad hoc querying tools. * Serve as task manager. In addition, manage scheduling and document control processes. * Draft, review, staff, and update a variety of documentation (e.g., acquisition documents, memorandums, briefings, information papers, issue papers, meeting meetings, etc.). * Deliver Senior-level presentations and briefings. * Lead or assist in preparation and support of Program Management Reviews (PMRs), Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and other meetings. * Lead staff meetings and develop presentations. * Coordinate reviews and analyses. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: * Possess a working knowledge of metadata structures, repository functions, and data dictionaries. * Possess expert knowledge of Open Source Business Intelligence (BI) and Extract Transform and Load (ETL) tools (e.g., Jaspersoft, etc.), as well as their corresponding outputs. * Possess advanced skills in: * Analysis and query scripting languages for MySQL/PostgreSQL databases * Extensible Markup Language (XML)/XML Schema Documentation (XSD) and XML Schemas * Develop and maintain data flow diagrams, data dictionary, state transition diagrams, and process models. * Develop database solutions by designing the proposed system and defining the physical structure, functional capabilities, security, back-up, and recovery specifications of the database. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: * Possess at least five (5) years of hands-on experience and/or supervisory experience with: * Data modeling and data administration tools (e.g., PowerDesigner, Erwin, Rational Rose, Embarcadero, System Architect, Data Architect, etc.) * Data dictionary maintenance * Technical, process, and business metadata management, either with custom applications or tools (e.g., Adaptive, PowerDesigner Repository, Collibra, Informatica Metadata Manager, ModelMart, etc.) * Business process design for management of master data throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including data quality, metadata, and workflow technologies (e.g., PowerDesigner, BPwin, Rational Rose, Visio, 6 Sigma, etc.) * Possess experience in: * Systems analysis and design in medium or large systems environments * Monitoring and using CASE tools for the development and documentation of data architectures and detailed data models * Data modeling methods and tools (e.g., Erwin, DBDesigner, etc.) * Object-Oriented Methodology * Development and scripting in Unix and SQL * Use of using MySQL/PostgreSQL in a Ruby in Rails environment * Partnership development with interagency stakeholders * Possess demonstrated experience using MySQL/PostgreSQL in a Ruby in Rails environment to conduct program management activities. * Possess experience in software project management, engaging different organizations to achieve project goals.
