Network Administrator – Las Vegas, NV

The Network Administrator will assist with provisioning and troubleshooting customer network circuits and implementing Switch approved network setups and configuration standards. Additionally, you will develop and maintain documentation for internal processes.

This position involves participation in an on-call rotation and providing fourth level technical support for escalated customer issues as well as supporting Sales Engineers on an ad hoc basis.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities. This position will report to the Data Integrity Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Escalation POC for NOC and initial triage of requests submitted to Network Engineering department
  • Review alerts and troubleshoot reported networking issues and outages
  • Participate in client on-boarding process
  • Maintain customer network circuits through their lifecycle
  • Maintain approved network design and IP allocation
  • Maintain network and project documentation
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures
  • Maintain hardware inventory
  • Maintain accounts and portals
  • Participate in on-call rotation
  • Mentor and coach junior teammates, develop training materials for lower tiers
  • Collaborate/whiteboard/brainstorm new ideas and solutions with the team
  • Create alerts in monitoring systems
  • Research options for set tasks and provide solutions


Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Experience with Cisco IOS
  • Experience with routing protocols and techniques: OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VRF, HSRP
  • Experience with switching protocols and techniques: STP, LACP, Port-Channeling, SPAN
  • Experience with wireless technologies (802.11)
  • Experience with tunneling/VPN protocols and technologies: IPSec, GRE, DMVPN
  • Experience with analyzing packet captures and network device logs
  • Experience with securing data, control and management planes: dot1X, Port Security, ACL, CoPP
  • Experience with AAA protocols and applications: TACACS, RADIUS, Cisco ACS
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with firewalls: Cisco ASA/FTD and Palo Alto — a plus
  • Experience with Python — a plus
  • Experience with Linus OS — a plus
  • Experience with Splunk and Solarwinds — a plus
  • Experience with SD-WAN products — a plus
