This requires us to deliver on our promises and always look for new opportunities to grow, both ourselves and our business.Job PurposeNational Grid IT and Digital is currently seeking an innovative, adaptable, and results-oriented Software Engineer/Analyst for our Architecture team, within Group functions.This role will be responsible for SAP product planning and management throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering and prioritising SAP product upgrades, maintenance, new products and optimization opportunities, cloud migration strategy, customer requirements, defining long term tech stack road maps and working closely with engineering teams, security team and other IT functions and stakeholders to deliver business outcomes and customer satisfaction.As an experienced SAP Basis analyst, you will be part of the team managing a portfolio of SAP technology stacks for ECC, HANA, XI/PO, OS, database, cloud integration, Ariba, SLT, BI/BW, BOBJ, Ariba, TMS and Solution Mgr which spans all US business units.?This role will report to the Domain Architecture Director of Group functions.Key Accountabilities SAP Basis Analyst must possess a broad base of skills and knowledge in SAP technologies related to on-premise and cloud hosting, middleware platforms, End of life tech tracking and proactive migration strategies, tech strategies for licensing optimization, road maps and agile/lean development practices.

Candidates must possess an entrepreneurial drive to develop new product strategies with in-depth risk analysis while managing stakeholder needs and timeframes to broker complex relationships that evolve into real solutions.

The ultimate success of the position hinges on the ability to guide peers while influencing decision-makers.

Integral part of the platform team and key contributor for tech assessment.

Work with the Architecture and business teams to understand the customer need and the larger business objectives that the suite can fulfil, articulate what success looks like for integrating a new product into the eco-system.

Work with the product team to turn that vision into a reality.?

Lead the research and development of new products/product changes in line with agreed company processes.

Pro-actively plan patching, upgrades and related risk assessment.

Resolve any tech stack issues, convening stakeholders where necessary, and drive changes through development, testing and change management process.

Gather and manage product feedback and efficiency in emergency change management.

Understand strategic vision to make short and long-term trade-offs across different technology and products.

Work closely with network security to ensure robust security architecture for cloud and non-cloud integrations.Qualifications Remain updated with the latest technology offerings and understand market adoptions to strategize cost efficient solutions.

Identify risk areas and proactively create and present early warning presentations to plan early for required changes and eliminate last minute reactive actions.

A good track record of interfacing with direct and third-party suppliers delivering services in onshore/offshore model.

10+ years of professional experience in SAP and non-SAP software technologies.

Strong understanding of platforms incl.

SAP technology stacks (ECC, SAP Enterprise Portal, SAP Fiori, SAP BI/BW, BOBJ, HANA, SLT, Solution Mgr etc), SAP middleware, XI/PO, OS upgrades, Database upgrade, routine maintenance, operation, and upgrades, Cloud security & zoning, MFT such as MuleSoft/GoAnyWhere and DevOps tooling.

Ability to manage time and schedules to meet aggressive deadlines and influence through persuasive written and verbal communication.

Thorough knowledge of Agile software delivery models (Kanban, Scrum, SAFe, etc.) Ability to think strategically and creatively.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both technical and non-technical discussions.
