MS Azure Software Engineer

We are currently sourcing for a MS Azure Software Engineer to work in Smithfield, Rhode Island, Merrimack, New Hampshire or Jersey City, New Jersey, or Durham, North Carolina, or Westlake, Texas.

The Role

As a member of the Labs Regulatory Technology Team (LRT) our Principal Cloud Engineer, you’ll be developing unique, next generation regulatory products to keep our customers safe and sound. You will be working on providing a highly automated infrastructure pipeline for deploying and scaling a distributed, single-tenant (growing to multi-tenant over time potentially), high performance compute and data platform. Developing software and tooling to facilitate greater automation and operability of services.

• Collaborating with architects and engineering teams to understand their needs and build solutions to address their requirements
• Working with our Product Owner to assess, define and refine product requirements
• Developing software and tooling to facilitate greater automation and operability of services.
• Plan, lead, and implement complicated technical projects that interact with a wide variety of teams within the company.
• Apply your deep experience and problem -solving skills to help prevent and investigate production issues.
• Integrating MS Office products to our application and APIs
• Establishing our application to be hosted in MS Azure

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Demonstrate a high level of motivation, confidence, integrity, and responsibility.
• Must be organized, diligent, fast paced, and able to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• At least 8 years of overall experience in software, systems, and infrastructure
• Have passion and ability to learn new tools and technologies
• Demonstrate strong written, verbal and presentation skills and have the ability to collaborate with internal partners
• At least 3+ years of experience managing cloud infrastructure in Azure
• Demonstrated ability including design, implementation, and maintenance of large scale compute environments. (SaaS experience preferred)
• Be excited to work with cloud-based architectures and distributed databases Work in a way that works for you
• Experience with developing applications, application infrastructures, services and solutions
• Experience with software engineering, model promotion/management
• Experience with MS Office Add-in creation using REST APIs
• Experience with design, implementation and maintenance of large scale compute environments and optimizing them
• Experience with linux, networking, distributed systems, could design patterns, APIs and security w/ Azure
• Experience with implementing in Agile, using Jira, Confluence or alike tools
• Experience with the development of use cases, stories and/or test scenario plans
• Experience using the Atlassian suite or similar.
• Experience in the regulatory technology marketplace
• Experience with container orchestration
• Experience in more than one of major cloud providers (AWS + … GCP, Azure)

The Fidelity Labs Regulatory Technology team is missioned with bringing new products and capabilities to market, holding end to end responsibility for full solution development. We will introduce new products to market to be used daily across the globe, across all devices & browsers. The team experience is collaborative, innovative and engaged in a start-up like atmosphere. This role has high visibility and potential in the organization. Our agile teams are based in different locations, predominately in Boston, and Dublin. Scrum teams work on all aspects of our products and work interactively.
