Gathers, analyzes and interprets credit information in accordance with agency and investor guidelines while adhering to quality standards and compliance regulations. The ideal candidate is required to be proficient in the processing of conventional, FHA and VA loans. Must be proficient in complex tax return analysis and possess the ability to perform multiple tasks including, underwriting a minimum standard of files and resubmissions each day; demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate both in written and oral form with internal and external clients to provide support as needed; and willing to work overtime as volume dictates. Ideal candidate must be detailed, organized, self-motivated, demonstrate the ability to work toward closing date deadlines and tasks assigned, and manage work flow queue for file assignments independently.QUALIFICATIONS: Combination of education and experience, generally acquired through the attainment of a high school diploma or GED and 3 years relevant experience. A minimum of 3+ years of mortgage loan underwriting experience is required.
