– San Diego Job Overview QCT’s Modem Firmware Integration group is responsible for the integration of physical layer components into binary objects to be used in commercial target software.
The team is responsible for managing the integration process, coordinating dependencies with other teams, developing tools to improve the process (building, branching, merging), and assisting with the verification of the deliverables.
Typical job responsibilities include : working with FW development team on integration and release of modem firmware components, contributing to test plan formulation and execution, attending scrum meetings, generation of firmware quality metrics and delivery status, issue tracking and debug, branch maintenance and CR propagation, firmware execution profiling, SCM tools enhancements and support, general administration of release process / methodology, coordination with modem and device target teams.
Candidate will also participate in the development, automation, and maintenance of regression / sanity / stability verification platform(s) as well as maintenance of physical layer test (PLT) software.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
– Entry level, new grad 1-2 years experience Preferred MS degree (CS or EE) SCM systems: Perforce, GIT Continuous integration and testing Build automation frameworks using Jenkins Good command of Python, MySQL, Dashboard design using web API’s Release management tools Experience with rapid prototyping GNU and JTAG debuggers Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
