At ManTech International Corporation, you’ll help protect our national security while working on innovative projects that offer opportunities for advancement.ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Engineer, Senior to join our team in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Provide functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of software systems, including, but not limited to application software, utility software, development software, and diagnostic software.Participate in the development of test strategies, devices, and systems.Solve engineering problems or manage the solution of engineering problems.Software engineering – responsible for software requirements, design, documentation, risks, quality System documentation (Engineering artifacts, contract artifacts, requirements traceability, manuals)Assist in the definition and programming of complex enterprise software solutions.Work effectively on several phases of systems/software programming/analysis with little direction, but may require some instruction and guidance for other aspectsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University. Four (4) additional years of qualified professionalexperience can be substituted for a degree.Minimum of seven (7) years of related professional work experience within the past ten (10) years.Eleven (11) years of professional experience are required without a qualifying degreeClearance Requirements:Current DOD TS/SCI Clearance RequiredPreferred Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline.Preferred knowledge of RedHat Linux, Puppet, Windows Server, and VMWare applications.Current industry recognized Computing Environment (CE) certifications (e.G. MCSE, RHCSA).Current CompTIA Security+ or other IAT-II qualified certification.Past experience working on DoD or US Army Intelligence systems, especially DCGS-A.Physical Requirements:Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computerThe person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
