Digital Automation is one of Sparkhound’s two business units focused on helping clients through their Digital Transformation journey.
As Managing Director of Digital Automation, you will combine solution delivery with an entrepreneurial mindset to build a profitable business that excels in transforming clients’ businesses through process, automation, data, and user experience.
The Managing Director sets the vision and definition for market share positioning and delivery excellence for the entire business unit and is on the forefront of identifying trends in the industry or marketplace.
Through a strong business acumen, this individual will have 4 main focuses: sales and marketing alignment, profitability, delivery excellence, and leadership.
This will be accomplished by growing a team of client and solution focused consultants who can solve business problems by living Sparkhound’s mission “To make an impact on our clients through leadership and technology”.

Sales and Marketing Alignment
Profitability
- Responsible for overall P&L of the Process and Consulting Services practices
- Develop long-term growth and profitability strategy including mission, points of view, offerings, competitor analysis and pricing
- Review, update, and enforce processes aimed at increasing operational efficiency and managing profitability including
- Review and approval of all estimates and Statements of Work (SOWs) to ensure all internal delivery criteria is met including mutual understanding of expectations, resource allocation, project management and profitability
- Scheduling of client business owner follow-up meetings to ensure of alignment between project team and client leadership
- Third party resource management (i.e., contractor, partner, etc.)
- Enforce project close-out procedures and serve as a member of the Project Close-Out Board to identify successes and opportunities for improvement
- Drive the practices to continuously add to “Sparkhound Intellectual Property” for Digital Automation
- Create opportunities for recurring revenue
- Support and push for cross selling between practices and business units
- Assist with identification of technology and channel partners along with the ongoing management of the relationship, go-to-market strategy and value tracking
Delivery Excellence
- Develop and enforce a standard framework for delivering consistent and high-quality solutions that provide positive business outcomes for Sparkhound’s clients
- Develop and enforce standard estimating and delivery methodologies
- Define KPIs for measuring project/solution delivery effectiveness and performance
- Ensure Practice Leaders have standardized structure and processes in place for alignment of resources with the direction of Digital Automation
Leadership (Resourcing, Maturity, Quality Delivery)
- Lead a team of 50+ consultants through two direct reports leading the Process and Consulting Services practices and hold accountable for:
- Quality delivery in project engagements (on time, on budget, identification of upsell opportunities, etc.)
- Identifying necessary competencies and requirements; building and implementing a plan to remove skill gaps
- Profitability (P&L)
- Creating practice assets such as
- Foster innovation by proposing new approaches, methods or technologies
- Serve as a member of the company Senior Leadership Team
- Lead, coach and mentor team members to drive an integrated business approach, provides opportunities for team members to learn and grow; work with HR to build a pipeline of candidates, contractors and partners
Other Duties
- Travels 50-70%

Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of
- Client facing consulting experience
- Holding a position of Managing Director, Director or similar roles managing a team or teams of consultants with P&L responsibilities.
Preferably a background in Application Development or Solution Architecture in an Enterprise setting with experience in platform technologies (i.e., Office 365, Salesforce, iPaaS, etc.)
- Experience driving the creation of digital transformation strategy roadmaps with the C Suite.
- Background running a sales team and/or setting up sales organizations.
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Minimum of 7 years of experience managing P&L
