Manager, Network Engineering (Remote)

In this role, you will lead and continue to build an existing team of talented engineers that operate around the world. This role will focus on designing networking solutions that are efficient, secure, reliable, and serviceable. You will partner closely across our business with Infrastructure, Network Engineering, and Security teams.This position can be located in “almost” anywhere in the US.**What you will do:**+ Evaluates, helps formulate, and implements network strategic plans to achieve contracting targets and manage costs+ Effectively defines and analyze metrics to drive standards, influence team behavior and achievement of goals+ Partners with engineering and operations teams ensuring security, delivery, and network availability+ Leads weekly status meetings, tracking issues, negotiating, and reviewing contracts and service agreements+ Responsible for identifying and managing cost issues and collaborating cross functionally to execute significant cost saving initiatives+ Ensures network Team is adhering to Information Security, Regulatory Compliance, Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management processes and practices+ Ensures all technical procedures (installation, configuration, run books) are documented and updated and are contributing to the maintenance of operational standards**What you will need:**+ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience+ 8+ years overall networking experience+ 3+ years of relevant technical operations or engineering experience, and at least 2 years of people leadership in either a management or team lead role+ Experience building, implementing, and troubleshooting complex LAN and WAN architectures+ Hands-on experience designing, building, testing, and deploying large-scale network solutions+ Strong networking background, with good knowledge of related protocols and technologies (e.g. BGP, OSPF, MPLS-VPN, VXLAN, EVPN)+ Experience working with load balancing technologies and security platforms (E.g Firewalls, IDS/IPS)+ Previous experience with the ServiceNow ITSM module is strongly desired+ Working knowledge of cloud networking, such as Amazon’s AWS networking services; Experience with VMware’s NSX-T networking stack a plus+ Data-driven – you can organize, explore, and synthesize unstructured data into actionable insights to better inform operational decision-making+ Must possess strong communication skills and technical understanding to take complex technical concepts and present them to a range of technical and non-technical audiences+ Ability to gather requirements, analyze alternatives, provide cost analysis, test options, configure devices and recommend, document, and communicate highly technical solutions+ Experience working in a large enterprise environment with a focus around security, availability, resiliency, and performance+ You enjoy working cross functionally with various teams to gather key inputs and work well with diverse opinions #GD17**Primary Location City/State:**Homebased – Conway, Arkansas**Additional Locations (if applicable):**Acxiom is an affirmative action and equal opportunity employer (AA/EOE/W/M/Vet/Disabled) and does not discriminate in recruiting, hiring, training, promotion or other employment of associates or the awarding of subcontracts because of a person’s race, color, sex, age, religion, national origin, protected veteran, military status, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetics or other protected status.Who is Acxiom?We are leaders in helping brands achieve the number one mantra for every business – know your customer.
