Manager – DevOps / Product Technical Training

Job summary:The Red Hat Training and Certification team is looking for a Manager to join us in the U.S.

In this role, you will manage a globally dispersed team developing Red Hats excellent hybrid cloud focused training courses.

You will apply your agile and DevOps knowledge to oversee multiple concurrent projects, ensuring the quality and speed of the outputs.

You will work strategically by helping to design and deploy innovative training offerings and tactically by managing continuous innovation and scrum practices used for regular developing and shipping of incremental releases for multiple offerings.

Youll challenge and nurture the team while finding new ways to raise the business value we provide.

You will also use your analytical skills to estimate projects, measure performance, and report to senior leadership.

Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.Primary job responsibilities:Oversee the development of Red Hats commercial hybrid cloud training offerings including Red Hat Linux, Red Hat Satellite, and Red Hat OpenStackCoach, support, retain, and grow a talented, geographically dispersed, technical teamDefine the teams key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure the achievement of these targetsMaintain and communicate a product development road mapUse agile reporting data to estimate project development timelines, evaluate performance, and identify opportunities for continuous improvementHire new team members and evaluate the performance of the team; implement corrective actions when necessaryCommunicate team contributions and keep them in line with organizational and departmental goalsRequired skills:5+ years of experience working in technical project leadership managing a team of developers, technical curriculum developers, or other technical teams3+ years of experience implementing and managing agile and DevOps processesAbility to lead in a meritocratic fashion by facilitating open discussion, generating alternatives, and reaching consensus on decisionsPrior success within a culturally and geographically diverse remote teamProven experience leading projects that measurably improve the customer experienceProven experience measuring and improving efficiency and quality using data-driven methodologies, including collecting and analyzing data and graphing and presenting data effectivelyService-focused attitude responsive to business needs, requirements, and performanceWillingness and ability to make direct contributions on key strategic projects in addition to team managementExceptional verbal and written communication skillsAbility to communicate effectively and cross-functionally with senior management and globally dispersed peersSolid understanding of a broad range of IT technologies, concepts, and trendsRed Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) in Linux or equivalent experience is a big plusPrevious experience with curriculum development, curriculum design, or technical training delivery is a plus#LI-REMOTEAbout Red Hat:Red Hat is the worlds leading provider of enterprise open source software solutions, using a community-powered approach to deliver reliable and high-performing Linux, hybrid cloud, container, and Kubernetes technologies.
