JOB SUMMARY The Application Manager is responsible for managing the application groups and the application portfolio, ensuring all business standards and service levels are met.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Lead and manage the application development and support team.
Partners with Apria business and manages IS personnel to deliver multiple priority projects, within budget and in accordance with the enterprise project portfolio and the company’s strategic plan.
This includes personally managing projects, supervising staff who report to another project manager or managing technical project leads Manages team to apply technical and industry expertise in the diagnosis of business problems, evaluation of solution alternatives and delivery of reusable systems solutions.
Accountable for ensuring team adherence to the software development lifecycle and software change control including all associated methods and deliverables and adherence to best practices and policies around data and application maintenance and support.
Responsible for continuous improvement of all development and support processes including and not limited to standard SDLC methods, peer code review, defect tracking and resolution Proactively manages and directs team to manage process across the organization to deliver quality and timely solutions and fixes.
Responsible for hiring, coaching and mentoring of subordinate staff.
Ensures project deadlines and performance standards are met.
Manages technical team to ensure appropriate architecture is used for all projects, considering performance, maintainability, security and portability.
Demonstrates creativity and initiative in problem solving and instills these qualities on the technical team.
Proficient in work planning, resource management, estimating and documentation of work including status reporting, deliverables management and issues management.
Work closely with technical and functional personnel and vendors to implement and support solutions Drive effective outcomes through the proactive management of vendors, software contracts, projects, people, budgets, business partnersrequests and IS support and maintenance processes.
Create and sustain new technology integration and delivery function.
Lead and integrate teams of new technology and legacy systems personnel with extensive experience in matrix project management.
Mentor existing staff and lead through change.
Performs other duties as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position manages all subordinate employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management, hiring, and discipline of subordinate employees within the department.
Fulfill project resource requests and allocate resources Provide career guideline and mentorship MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education andor Experience Four-year college degree or equivalent experience is required Extensive project management experiences Eight years related experience is required 15 years matrix project and line management experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations NA SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES Excellent Leadership skills Proven ability to drive the mission and vision of the organization into domain teams Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education andor Experience Healthcare experience preferred.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES Matrix project and line management experience in Application Development preferred.
Knowledge preferred but not limited to the following areas such as Workflow, Order processing, eCommerce, Website Management, Cloud Management, Integrations PHYSICAL DEMANDS This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
