  JOB SUMMARY: The Lead Network Engineer is responsible for the design, creation, implementation and deployment of services-based solutions in a large, complex multi-project hospital environment.

The Lead Network Engineer must have a deep understanding of enterprise architecture, enabling technologies, and enterprise networking including route/switch and wireless technologies.

This position also requires a strong ability to assist clients with business requirement analysis to drive the appropriate network architecture, functional architecture and solution approach.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related IT fields; or equivalent combination of education and experience required 7 years of experience analyzing requirements for, designing, delivering and supporting wired/wireless/data network functions/tools/processes in a large enterprise environment required 5 years of experience supporting large, complex wireless networks, including work with wireless controllers, access points, wireless security functions, and performing/analyzing wireless surveys required Solid foundation and knowledge on Cisco Nexus platforms and architectures to include Nexus 9500, 9300, 7000, and 5000 Series.

Solid foundation and knowledge on Cisco Catalyst platforms and architectures to include all Cisco platforms that leverage IOS and IOS-XE operating systems Solid foundation and knowledge on Cisco routing platforms and architectures to include all Cisco ASR and ISR models that leverage either IOS or IOS-XE.

Solid understanding of VxLAN design and architecture.

Solid understanding of layer 3 routing and dynamic protocols to include but not limited to: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP.

Basic knowledge of Cisco ASA and Cisco Firepower threat defense platforms.

Basic knowledge of Cisco on-prem wireless controller based solutions to include: a.           Cisco 5500 Series WLC’s b.           Cisco 3700 and 2800 Series AP’s c.           Cisco Prime Infrastructure Knowledge and experience with Solarwinds Network Management Solutions.

Knowledge of SD-WAN Technologies from Cisco Viptela/ Silver Peak, VeloCloud / Versa.

Organizational skills with attention to task details, documentation, and target dates.

Knowledge and experience with Aruba ClearPass.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Effective oral and written communication skills.

Willingness to embrace, influence, and lead change.

CCIP, CCNP, CCIE (R&S) Certifications.

Cisco ACI experience.

Knowledge and experience with Cisco DNA Center.

Working knowledge of Cisco ISE.

Experience with Cisco DCNM platform.

Experience with load balancing solutions such as F5 or Netscaler Experience with Ekahau Pro and Sidekick or equivalent tools.

Experience in implementation and support of Cisco switches, routers.
