Our client, a global leader in the Financial Services industry, is seeking a Lead IT Security Engineer Cloud Security Engineering to work in a team that designs world class cloud security architecture to protect its data. You will evaluate, design and implement cloud security controls in their multi-cloud environments. This role is focused on building a strong Azure and AWS cloud security framework aligned to industry best practices and standards; driving security-first attitude across the enterprise, thus improving accountability, security, scalability, and increasing business agility.

You will be tasked with the responsibility of researching & evaluating new cloud security technologies and creating roadmaps to put them into production; looking for ways to automate things; creating information to be included in playbooks, and evaluating and creating cloud security baselines and implement monitoring tools and practices . Happily, you won’t be working alone! You’ll be working cross-functionally with other departments to increase the security posture of cloud services thru improved security and standard methodologies.

Required skills & experience:

• Strong Information Security experience, especially in public cloud environments (AWS and Azure) engineering, design, implementation and documentation
• Experience using cloud security tools such as Aquasec, Inspector, and Dome9
• Industry-standard Information Security frameworks, policies and procedures
• One or more of the following certifications: Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform), CISSP
• vulnerability management, SIEM, compliance to security baselines, and Identity and Access Management in the cloud and on-prem (AD, Ping, ADFS, etc.).
• Programming experience one or more of the following languages: Python, C#, C++, PowerShell, Bash, Terraform, and SQL as well as experience with GIT version control (GITFlow, GitHub, BitBucket, etc.).

Bonus/Soft Skills

• 4 Year degree or higher in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field
• Cloud computing experience with Azure, GCP and Containerization is preferred.
• Experience in an Agile environment where feedback, proper delegating, inclusive leadership and coaching are valued.

Candidates should reside in the Dallas, TX, McLean, VA or Tampa, FL and be prepared to commute to the office 2-3 days/wk starting March 2022. As this employer supports the financial services industry, you must be able to successfully pass a strenuous background check process. You should have experience working in a large corporate environment, FinServ experience would be very helpful, to understand the regulatory aspects of the job. Candidates must be US Citizens or authorized to work for any US based company without sponsorship.
