Lead Full Stack Developer (Remote)

*We are open to supporting 100% remote work anywhere within the US.* ICF’s IT Modernization division is a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial, technology department, seeking a Lead Full Stack Developer to support upcoming needs with our federal customers.Our IT Modernization division is an information technology and management consulting department that offers integrated, strategic solutions to its public and private-sector clients.

As a key member of the team, you will partner with technology leads throughout ICF to raise the bar on our ability to deliver quality applications and services at high velocity.The WorkThe Tailored Platform Support Services (TPSS) team supports over 30 applications ranging in scope from licensing and application processing to supply chain management.

There are several efforts in the pipeline that will require immediate staffing.

The TPSS team supports the federal government in these modernization efforts by conducting discovery, elicitation, and implementation of requirements.The RoleThe Lead Full Stack Developer will participate in full lifecycle development of modifications to large, complex, mission-critical enterprise applications, lead an 8–12-person Platform Development Team, follow solutions, enforce standards as they are developed through production deployment.

Responsibilities:+ Manage a small team of developers and testers using Agile project management+ Lead the design of solution architecture to the modernization of a mission-critical legacy system+ Develop and refine the to-be architecture and plan for scaling, reliability, and availability+ Introduce and enforce adherence to standards and best practices+ Willing to learn and adopt new technologies in a short period of time as required+ This position also requires regular communication with the customer to review software application requirements, provide progress status updates, and provide/propose technical solutions and architectural design for enhancements Required Skills and Qualifications:+ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study.+ 8+ years professional experience serving as a Technical Lead on large-scale modernization efforts+ 5 + years of professional development experience working in a DevOps environment+ The ideal candidate would have a holistic approach to architecture and the ability to define and work with all aspects of architecture.+ Expert-level knowledge of AWS and cloud migrations+ Demonstrated experience working with Jenkins, Gitlab, and Bamboo for DevOps+ Development experience with Rest APIs, Java, Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, comfortable in both Linux/Unix and Windows environments+ Development experience with JS frameworks React or Angular; at least working knowledge of Angular 11+ Working knowledge of relational database design and Structured Query Language (SQL)+ Strong English written and verbal communication skills.+ US Citizenship is required due to federal contract requirements+ Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance Desired Skills and Qualifications:+ Experience on projects that migrated a legacy Sybase DB to a Postgres DB+ Experience integrating applications with Okta for SSO / Authentication+ Experience with converting a COBOL-based monolithic application to a microservice-oriented application+ Working knowledge of MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and MuleSoft architecture+ Experience setting up a CI/CD+ Asynchronous JavaScript development+ JS Frameworks, CSS/Bootstrap+ UX/UI best practices+ GIS-centric applications experience+ Able to work in a lean development environment+ Able to self-learn and develop on multiple technologies+ Able to take full ownership of a product #INDEED#LI-CC1Working at ICFWorking at ICF means applying a passion for meaningful work with intellectual rigor to help solve the leading issues of our day.
