Position Title: Lead DevOps Engineer
Duration: Full Time opportunity (Direct Hire).
Location – Chicago, IL OR NYC
Qualifications:
- Experience with RHEL and Debian based distros (We use CentOS)
- Experience with automated configuration management technology (any of Ansible, Puppet, or Salt)
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, and log analysis tools (e.g., Nagios, CheckMK, Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic Stack, and the like).
- experience with server / system virtualization technologies e.g., ProxMox, KVM, VMware ESX/ESXi.
- Must have experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or other container-based technology.
- Knowledge of Java applications and the JVM.
- Experience with major Cloud Service Providers (like AWS, GCP, and Azure)
- Experience with GIT (adds, commits, branching, pushes, tagging – BTW, we use BitBucket)
- Experience with Jenkins (for continuous integration / deployment tasks).
- Strong understanding of network layers and technologies (specifically host-based)
- Solid scripting abilities for orchestration, automation, and integration, (like Bash Shell, Python, Go, or similar).
