L3Harris Integrated Vision Solutions, a leading designer and manufacturer of laser, night vision, and electro-optic devices, is seeking a Software Engineering Manager.

As a member of our fast-paced, product-development team you will provide software engineering leadership and technical expertise to support the development of interconnected embedded software for military systems.Responsibilities:Leading design, documentation, development, and testing of a highly reusable software that can be leveraged across the product portfolioWork closely with program management to ensure projects are staffed to meet planSoftware project planning, task estimation and budgeting for complete SDLCEstablish software development best practices to maximize productivity and qualityUnderstanding customer and system requirements and translating into software requirementsRecruiting and staffing appropriate skillsets to meet forecasted business needsConducting performance evaluations and supporting career development of software teamSoftware development execution using both Agile and waterfall methodologiesLead and participate in software design and code reviewsSupport proposals with concept designs and estimatesSupport, train, and/or mentor other team members in design best practices Basic Qualifications:BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field10+ years of embedded software development experienceMinimum of 3 years in a software lead rolePreferred Qualifications:Expert knowledge designing embedded products for Size, Weight and Power (SWaP)Experience with Git and JiraExperience with DOORS Requirements ManagementExperience with Jenkins and DevOps toolsExpert knowledge of data structures and inter-process communicationsExpert knowledge of multi-threaded development and interrupt servicingExpert knowledge of networking (e.G.

TCP/IP), wireless, and Ethernet protocolsExpert knowledge of communications protocols (e.G.

USB, I2C, SPI, UART etc.)Proficient at distilling system requirements into software requirementsProficient at software design using UMLProficient with both Agile and Waterfall methodologiesProficient with software configuration management tools.

Git preferred.Proficient with feature and defect tracking tools.
