Java Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Beaverton, OR that is seeking a Java Developer.

Summary:
As a Java Developer in the Consumer Direct Finance organization, this position’s primary role on the team will be to help deliver the next generation of commerce platform technology while also helping elevate the test engineering approach and team capability.

The Java Developer will actively participate on an Agile Squad focused on ensuring current platform transactional systems deliver seamlessly.
Job Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other relevant subject area; Two (2) years of additional relevant professional experience accepted in lieu of degree

3+ years software development experience.

Experience working in a distributed/cloud-based environment is a plus

Experience in building RESTful micro-services using languages such as Java

Experience working with NoSQL data stores.

Exposure to traditional SQL databases is a plus

Understanding and practical application of modern build strategies, continuous integration, unit testing, performance testing, test driven development, and automated unit/integration tests; Continuous delivery experience preferred

Knowledge of ensuring observability and monitoring into all production-deployed software

Working knowledge of Scrum and Agile principles

Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced, and results oriented environment

Commitment to building accountability and trust within the team

Hands-on experience in performing technical code reviews

Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
