Job Title JavaPython Developer Location Charlotte, NC Job Summary Looking for a Java developer that develops, enhances, supports, debugs, maintains and test software applications that support business units or supporting functions.
This is an opportunity to build the monitoring dashboardutilities to assess the health of a large grid infrastructure running spark on HDFSHadoop.
The right candidate will have a development background in JavaPython, with some experience with HadoopSpark.
They will also have a unix background and ability to automate small tasks using unix scripting.
Responsibilities Participates in the design, development and implementation of complex applications, often using new technologies Overall 7 years of experience designing and developing systems, preferably in a regulated environment.
Proven technical background and analytic capabilities Experience operating and leading in a matrix organization with a global footprint Experience with presenting complex topics to senior stakeholders and incorporating feedback to drive the overall program in the direction set by a senior steering group Experience in building UIdashboards a plus Requirements JavaPython programming skills.
Strong grasp of general computer science fundamentals especially in a distributed systems environment.
Fluency with data structures, algorithms and timespace complexity is a must.
Strong grasp of operating systems fundamentals (threads, processes, multi-core and multi-node execution) Expertise with distributed storage and compute.
Apache stack (Spark, HDFS, etc) preferred but not required as long as past experience translates over naturally.
