JOB TITLE: IT Manager LOCATION: Pittsfield, MA.
JOB FUNCTION / PURPOSE Responsible for all aspects of IT and Network Operations, Oversees two direct reports within the IT department.
Manages, monitors and maintains all systems and infrastructures.
Successfully crafts IT strategies to meet management initiatives and company goals.
Job Requirements: PRINCIPLE ACTIVITIES / PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Leads IT Department o supervises daily work activities § fosters department communication § ensures the highest level of availability of all systems and infrastructures § manages all installations, configurations, maintenance, and security
· delegation of regular departmental functions and responsibilities o workflow acceleration and staff balancing to ensure timely resolutions for system issues and meeting deliverable deadlines successfully o organize and manage internal and external resources to address multiple initiatives
· staff training and education o mentor, identify and acquire training for the department that is consistent with current and upcoming deployments and network design modifications o leads by example with a professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills
· Manage and maintain all hardware, software and networks o consistently evaluates current hardware and software § maintain excellent systems documentation § implement and manage execution of new software
· craft optimal network designs for performance and security
· oversee maintenance, back-up, security, and redundancy strategies EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE & PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES:
• Proven working experience as a manager or director in IT
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• 5 years of relevant experience
• Thorough knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, application software, system management tools and VMware environments
• Experience with Windows Servers, HP and Cisco networking, and firewalls (DNS, DHCP, WiFi, VPN, SonicWall, OSI, TCP/IP)
• Experience in the administration and performance tuning of VMware ESXI 6.0, vCenter, MS SQL, MS Server, and SharePoint
• Experience with subcontract implementation and programming project management CORE COMPETENCIES:
