This role will work towards mastering the listed duties and responsibilities and lead the support of Value Added Manufacturer (VAM) development from application design and development tool support through testing and certification.*What You’ll Do: ** Develop and execute documentation materials, including creating certification test guides, plans, procedures, Requirement Tracability Matrix (RTM)/Verification Cross-Reference Matrix (CRMs), and other support documentation for the Iridium Certus partner/VAMs product/terminal certification process.* Identify key output(s) of data analysis of the VAM test results and responses, determining if the tests were executed correctly and whether products meet the requirements and pass/fail criteria.* Build productive working relationships with the VAMs to complete the certification items listed, including attending Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM), regular technical meetings, managing QA tools, analyzing the submissions, general mentoring of the partner through the certification process, and assisting with technical aspects of Iridium Products, throughout the certification process* Improve the quality of Iridium products by conducting efficient and thorough testing, particularly when given constants of time and materials, and craft/propose solutions to these issues by assisting in applying new approaches and ideas.* Lead the development and execution of internal test plans, procedures, and tools for various projects that arise due to requests from a project, product, executive management, and those required to solve quality issues.* Facilitate teamwork and positively impact team/peer group to improve the test process continually.*What You’ll Need to Succeed: ** Possess an analytical mindset, with the ability to understand a situation or problem and think critically to make decisions or come up with solutions* Be comfortable managing upward, including being a proactive communicator and asking for help when needed* Hands-on knowledge of all RF lab equipment: Vector Network Analyzers, Vector Signal Generators, Vector Signal Analyzers, channel emulators, Oscilloscopes* Understanding of HW & SW troubleshooting techniques for devices and systems* Ability to comfortably present products, deliverables, analysis, and/or issues confidently to outside groups and within the team* Proven ability to communicate well with peers, various levels of management, and partners* Must be able to prioritize key tasks and have a strong sense of ownership over your work* Be active in seeking out ways to continuously improve yourself and gain new knowledge* Demonstrated ability to make routine decisions using output(s) of data analysisExperience & Education Requirements / EEO: *Things You **_Must_** Bring to the Table: ** Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or Master of Electrical Engineering, or related field* 5+ years of engineering experience required* Or Community college Certifications, Associate, or other degrees with 10+ years of directly related Software QA Engineer work experience*Things That Would be **_Great_** if You Brought to the Table: ** General Networking Knowledge, to include at a minimum: TCP/IP, Routing & Switching* Ability to writing technical documentation such as test plans, technical memos, and procedures* Demonstrated experience designing RF circuits & analysis* Complete knowledge of RF Cascade analysis (gain, noise, intercept, etc.)* Testing and debugging RF circuit boards, modules, and systems* Expert in the use of Linux systems, the use of Virtual Machines, Internet protocols and programming skills in python* Familiarity with SW test infrastructure & QA tools (e.G., Jira, Git, Bamboo)* Strong analytical skills to diagnose the root cause of testing failures* High level of proficiency with Microsoft Word and ExcelIridium requires all employees/new hires to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to starting work.
