Responsible for Automation Sales Group in Greater Northern Illinois. Responsible for promoting and technically supporting Rockwell Automation products in region. Reports to director of sales for EESCO.Detailed Description* Creates, manages, and promotes execution of automation business plan, including execution of objectives and sales goals in business plan.* Projects and forecasts expected sales volume for existing and new product lines and customers.* Manages funnel for district to provide enough opportunities to meet sales goals for automation products.* Maintains sales volume, product mix and selling price by keeping current with market supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators and competitors.* Recruits, and manages performance of automation sales group.* Develops strategic relationships with key customers within district.* Analyzes, and understands local market to develop sales campaigns, creates marketing plans, and establishes sales quotas.* Liaison between EESCO and automation vendors.* Supports district managers in all aspects of disciplined sales management.* Prepares periodic sales reports for management showing sales volume, performance to goal, and potential opportunities.Job RequirementsEXPERIENCE:Electrical industry as a manufacturer or distributor – 5 years’ experience required; 7 years preferred.Selling, supporting, or using automation products like Rockwell Automation or equivalent manufacturer – 5 years’ experience required; 7 years preferred.Technical sales management – 2 years’ experience preferred.EDUCATION:* Bachelors’ Degree required, Engineering Degree preferred.SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:* Business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and coordination of people and resources.* Ability to perform analytics on sales history and market information.* Strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasion and interpersonal skills.* Strong computer skills.Working Environment:* Outside Sales – Work is generally performed in an office environment, but employee may need to travel to customer sites or warehouse facilities. Driving may be required for an extended period of time with frequent stops and starts.
