Game Developer

Description SAIC is hiring Serious Games Developers. This is a remote position. In this role, you will collaborate with team members to develop various gameplay and other systems. Job Duties Responsibilities Use the Unity engine to design and implement well-engineered, reliable, maintainable, and bug-free code. Develop and test code, fix bugs, and profile and optimize code as directed. Follow best practices, development processes, and coding standards. Document and peer review technical designs with other software engineers. Work with QA, providing information needed to fully test developed code. Provide support to internal customers for developed software. Keep up to date on state-of-the-art software engineering methods, practices, and technologies. Communicate with other team members, internal customers, and when required external customers to determine requirements. Work well together with other team members in a cooperative, cross- disciplinary team environment. Identify technical and developmental risksobstacles and generate solutions to overcome identified risks. Demonstrated ability to self-manage and effectively work remotely form customers and with other team members. Possess and develop areas of engineering expertise. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelors and 5+ years of experience Masters and 3+ years of experience Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a SECRET Security Clearance. Demonstrated experience with Unity game engine. S trong C programming skills. A passion for making and playing games, particularly Serious Games. Work well in a cooperative environment. Experience programming game features and systems. One or more shipped products, especially PC or tablet products. Strong source control experience. Agile development experience. Desired Qualifications Serious Games development experience. Flig ht Simulation experience. Unreal Engine 4 experience. Experience using and creating software for ARVRMR hardware. UI development experience, including Scaleform andor FlashAS2AS3 knowledge. Online game andor MMO development experience, including clientserver development of game features. Experience in game physics programming and 3D math.
