Front-End Web Developer in the Web Communications Department Wilmington University ndash Wilson Graduate Center Requirements Bachelorrsquos degree required or higher in web development or related field along with three plus years of front-end web developer experience.
Two plus years in a UXUI role is preferred.
Portfolio review and demonstration of experience is required.
Higher education experience is a plus.
The ideal candidate will have experience creating web experiences focused on marketing and conversions and analyzing user behavior to continually improve conversions and user goal attainment.
Must have excellent communication, customer service, and organization skills.
Must be detail-oriented and able to work with diverse populations.
Must be self-directed and able to make decisions independently.
Must be able to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in any situation.
Must demonstrate professional experience in the following HTML5, XMLXSL, CSS3, CSS GridFlexboxBootstrap, SASSLESS, JavaScriptJQuery, WGAC standards.
Must demonstrate experience using open-source and modern frameworks for mobile-responsive, front-end web development.
Must demonstrate experience with professional web designdevelopment software (Dreamweaver or similar product), and professional graphics software (Photoshop, Illustrator andor InDesign).
Knowledgeexperience developingdelivering WordPress web sites is a plus.
Knowledgeexperience developing templates for enterprise web content management systems is a plus.
Knowledgeexperience developing for Active Server Pages (ASP.NET ) is a plus.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) Design, develop, maintain, and improve web pages, user interfaces, and interactive experiences for the Universityrsquos web site(s) and portals.
Develop, implement, manage and improve webpage templates, frameworks, reusable UI elements, style sheets, and style references for use across University web site(s) and portals.
Develop and implement websites and webpages using modern web development languages, techniques and practices for mobile-first, fast-loading, user-centered web experiences.
Develop and implement websites and webpages using best practices for search engine optimization and internal site search.
Develop and implement websites and webpages to provide accessible web experiences for people with disabilities that are compliant with federal and other regulations.
Assist with the development, utilization, and adoption of University web content management systems (CMS), including commercial, open-source, andor cloud-based technologies.
Continually analyze, refine, and improve the overall website experience and continue to increase visitor conversions and achievement of other defined goals for visitors.
Continually assess and analyze the overall website experience using web analytics data, conducting and analyzing user testing, and implementing and sustaining userconstituent feedback activities.
Coordinate with team members to ensure web site(s) can adapt quickly and easily in response to continuous changes in web content, applications, and priorities.
Collaborate across University Relations marketing and creative teams to develop and refine the Universityrsquos Internet brand identity and overall look and feel of the Universityrsquos web site(s) in alignment with brand and design standards.
