Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector is looking for you to join our team as a Database Engineer/Architect supporting an important program based out of Aurora, CO.

Description Northrop Grumman is looking for a Database Engineer/Architect with a preferred Oracle background to support multiple programs in Aurora, Colorado.

Most of our programs use several COTS database products, including Oracle Database, I BM DB2, PostgreSQL and we are engaged in looking at newer technologies to perform; Cloud database, DevOps/site reliability, and data engineering.

The candidate should be familiar with these products by supporting each through the entire lifecycle from design/development through delivery and operational support.

The position requires an individual to work on a small, highly skilled team which supports mission systems by providing technical engineering/database support and establishing innovative, time sensitive solutions.

The preferred candidate may be required to work under minimal supervision, have the ability to multi-task and adapt to change, and possess strong organizational and communication skills.

Additionally, the candidate must be motivated and a self-starter with the ability to take ownership of assigned tasks, independently determine the approach to fixing problems and push to closure on scheduled milestones.

Candidate will be expected to learn and stay engaged with state-of -the-art database technologies within the industry and may be requested to support the design, implement, and maintenance of these technologies within a new or established development environment.

Basic Qualifications:
– Database Architect/Engineer – 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in Science
– Principal Database Architect/Engineer – 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in Science
– Experience with Oracle Database/Engineer or similar database experience
– Current TS/SCI Clearance Preferred Qualifications:
– Active TS/SCI Clearance
– Experience in designing, modeling, developing, and supporting a variety of RDBMS systems
– Experience with Oracle 11g/12c/18c/19c in Linux/Unix/Windows environments or other technologies.

– Experience or familiar with Cloud database technologies (Microsoft Azure, Amazon WebServices etc.), integration/cloud database migration, DevOps/Site Reliability, Data Engineering (containerization, orchestration etc.).

– Good understanding of SQL and Oracle PL/SQL
– Experience working with Oracle Multitenant, Oracle RAC, and Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control
– Experience with PostgreSQL and IBM DB2 a plus
– Familiarity with Python, PERL, and/or Java a plus
– Security+ Certification a plus Salary range for a Database Engineer: $77,952
– $116,928 Salary range for a Principal Database Engineer: $96,600
