Edward Jones currently has more branch offices than any other financial services firm, and we continue to grow to meet the needs of long-term individual investors.The Technology Network Engineering and Operations HQ Network team is responsible for researching, deploying, and maintaining a highly available and scalable network for Edward Jones.
The team is responsible for the campus edge network (wired and wireless), data center network, and DNS and application load balancing platforms (cloud and on-prem).
This team works closely with the Backbone Network team, Technology Security, Computing Services, Software Infrastructure, and Business Solutions Development.
We are seeking an exceptionally talented leader who will innovate and collaborate with others and deliver new solutions that support the firm’s transformational goals and aspirations.What You’ll do.Plan and manage the activities of the team, responsible for engineering and operational support of the Edward Jones HQ NetworkIdentify, develop, and implement continuous process improvement, to include automation of infrastructure and operational activitiesDrive innovation and strategic direction that aligns with the needs of the firmDevelop and present project recommendations, and gain necessary approvals for small to large and complex effortsImplement and operationalize approved solutions according to the needs of the firmLead, develop, and mentor associates, and maintain a strong and inclusive team capable of delivering high quality and timely resultsDevelop successors for key positions within the teamEstablish and maintain relationships within and across teams and departments, at various levels of leadership, and with various third parties / vendorsEnsure prudent use of the firm’s financial resources (to include all third party expenditures)What You’ll needBachelor’s degree (Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Telecommunications, etc.) or equivalent work experience in Information SystemsMinimum of 5 years’ experience in telecommunications and networking technologies (routing, switching, campus wireless deployments, application load balancing, DNS, cloud solutions, etc.).
