LumaTax is an early-stage, venture-backed SaaS company that is focused on providing top CPA firms with modern tools to power their advisory services.

Our goal is to eliminate accountants’ over-reliance on Excel and email by developing robust, easy-to-use, and secure sales tax compliance products designed to help their teams and practices scale.

This role reports directly to the CEO.

Lead, coach, and support a team of software engineers to deliver high quality software Hold yourself and your team accountable to meet deadlines Create a productive work environment that keeps the team motivated and focused Partner with cross-functional teams Set technical direction and make appropriate technology decisions Select and retain top technical talent
Skills/Qualifications
5+ years managing engineering teams in a fast moving environment Experience with modern JS frameworks (eg ReactJS, VueJS, AngularJS) Experience with Back End technologies (eg Java, Python, APIs, Postgres, MySQL) Experience with cloud infrastructures and services (eg AWS, GCP, Azure) Experience with cloud infrastructure provisioning and management tools (eg Terraform, Ansible) Experience with compliance frameworks (eg SOC, PCI, HIPAA) Strong computer science background Excellent communication skills

Location

LumaTax and the bulk of its team are based in San Diego, California.

However, we transitioned to a remote team during covid and we intend to keep it that way.

Accordingly, this role is open to remote candidates that would be open to, on limited occasions, spending a few days with the rest of the team in sunny San Diego 🙂
