DevOps – Systems Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES: Kforce has a need for a senior level DevOps resource for a long-term opportunity with an enterprise client in San Antonio, Texas (TX).

This role’s responsibility will start with the oversight, management, monitoring, and a hands-on effort of the client’s portfolio of application.

Responsibilities: Utilizing the best practice of Infrastructure as code Interfacing with the team while creating new opportunities to improve the tool set Highlighting opportunities to improve processes by utilizing new functionality Ensuring legacy technology is not only ported over but is implemented using industry standards Streamlining deployment processes down to their most efficient state across opportunities for each application Working developers and infrastructure teams to break down silos Analyzing user requirements and defining functional specifications Developing and leading complex solution initiatives utilizing all aspects of the solution life cycle to design, implement and operationalize solutions focused on automation Designing application components using Java technology Creating the architecture for application services on cloud systems Leading multiple modelling, simulations and analysis efforts to uncover the best solutions Developing and implementing DevOps continuous integration and deployment tools Developing Microservices oriented web applications Creating required scripts (Perl and Python) and Bash scripts Developing and implementing test validations of the application solutions Analyzing test results and recommending modifications to meet project specification using Jira Leading advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis of events related to automation solutions Participating in the automated deployment of applications/services into the cloud (Azure and AWS) using Bash, Python, Jenkins and Maven Job Requirements: REQUIREMENTS: The minimum requirement for the position is a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Computer information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
