Job Description:
The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for management of application stability, connectivity, and related defect triage in the testing/development environments. Additional responsibilities include:
Creating code branch, merging the code in code repository tool.
Deployment of code and/or retrofit of code.
Code to fix the production issues – Java/ Java Script.
Working side by side with partner teams, testers and developers to ensure all are working cohesively.
Technical documentation.
Required Skills:
3 – 5 years of experience in Build and Code Deployment functions along with development experience of Java and Java script.
Effective Communication – Clear, Concise and the ability to articulate ideas
Should be able to lead and actively participate in conference calls with technical and business users
Experience in Application Lifecycle Management Automation tools and integration using one or more of the following tools: IBM UrbanCode Suite, Ansible by Red Hat, Jenkins or Hudson
Experience in working with one or more version control tools like BitBucket/Git, and Subversion
Working knowledge/expertise with JIRA, NEXUS and ALM (Application Lifecycle Management)
Exposure and familiarity with software development lifecycle methodologies (Agile)
Candidate must be self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, able to work with little supervision and a responsible team-player
Working knowledge of application setup, support, and configuration
Desired Skills:
Experience in web development in a client-server architecture including: HTML; JSP; Javascript; XSLT; XML; AJAX; DOM
Exposure to financial, banking business processes, technologies, system and process architecture
Release management
Continuous Integration & Deployment knowledge and hands on skill involving any or all of SVN, uBuild, uDeploy, Jenkins, Maven/Ant, JFrog Artifactory, BitBucket, and similar CI/CD technologies
Suitable Masters/Bachelor’s degree
