Every quarter we grade, authenticate, and sell millions of high-value , record-setting collectibles , so we’re looking for a DevOps engineer who can design and implement systems to help our platform set even bigger records.

Our services span collectible coins, trading cards, video games, event tickets, autographs, and memorabilia through our subsidiaries, which include Professional Sports Authenticators (PSA), Professional Coin Grading Services (PCGS), Wata, Certified Coin Exchange (CCE), Collectors Corner, Set Registry, Collectors.com, and the Long Beach Expo collectibles trade show.

Since our founding in 1986, we have graded and authenticated more than 80 million items.

We employ over 1,000 people across our Santa Ana, CA headquarters, New Jersey, Hong Kong, Paris, Shanghai and Tokyo.

Collectors Universe is looking for an AWS Cloud DevOps/SRE Engineer to join our team.

You will build secure automation capabilities that enable our application and data engineers to unveil their products to the world.

Their goal is to create the platform to make a product smart, secure, and fast.

If you are ready to bring your skills to work alongside their team of engineers, you’ll be working hands-on in the cloud with some of the newest technologies out there.

We have a wide variety of needs across the engineering organization
– most roles are remote friendly, however we have select positions that require a hybrid onsite presence.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with Infrastructure, AppDev and Security teams to help design and implement CI/CD integration platform that includes automated infrastructure, CI/CD workflow, integrated change management, security control/testing, monitoring and feedback loops in Azure DevOps.
  • Assist AppDev teams as needed to build their own Infrastructure and Application build and release pipelines in Azure DevOps. 
  • Assist teams as needed to enhance their pipelines such as incorporating automated change and release management requirements.
  • Enhance existing pipelines with artifacts consisting of the .NET tech stack (C#, .NET and / or .NET Core, SQL), Powershell scripts, IIS endpoints and Kubernetes clusters.
  • Support team following well defined Agile practices and execute SDLC tasks such as code merge, build and release operations that also include administration and maintenance of tools supporting these efforts.
  • Support CI/CD and associated tools in pipelines for development and production environments.
  • Responsible for governance and support of tools and DevSecOps processes used in Azure DevOps.
  • Responsible for writing and executing automation scripts to assist in Azure DevOps.
  • Work with different development teams on an ongoing basis to help them improve their CI/CD pipelines and model.
  • Research, learn and help adopt new CI/CD tools and develop techniques to increase performance, automation, and scalability of Deployment framework.
  • Research and stay current in AWS, Azure, associated technology and vendor products, and their interdependencies.
  • Collaborate as part of larger delivery teams which may include project managers, business analysts, architects, developers, and change management professionals.

Who You Are:

(You don’t have to have every skills below to apply)

  • 3+ years of progressively responsible DevOps experience.
  • 3+ years direct experience building end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using some of the popular platform (i.e.

    Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Enterprise, ..).

  • AWS cloud experience is mandatory, Azure a plus (AWS experience should include Networking, Containers, Application integration (queuing), Database and Storage products.).
  • 2+ years of experience in Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • 2+ years of experience in Configuration Management such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc (plus).
  • Experience with securing the AWS workloads and security practices will be a huge plus.
  • Experienced on Site Reliability Engineering (preferred) and automating repetitive tasks using Python, PowerShell, etc.
  • Experience with configuring and monitoring via tools such as DataDog, New Relic, ELK, Splunk, AppDynamics, etc.

  • Experience collaborating across multiple functional and/or technical teams to deliver an Agile-based project.  Jira experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated growth mentality, enthusiasm about learning new technologies quickly and applying the gained knowledge to address practical business problems.
  • Ability to communicate with team members and partners to work through technical solutions.
