DevOps Container Engineer

Job Description:

Novetta is seeking a highly motivated, experienced DevSecOps Container Engineer in support of a cloud-based network ecosystem involving Linux and Microsoft services.

If continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), cloud infrastructure, and supporting important national missions is something you would be energized to work on, this is the position for you.

Responsibilities include:

• Architect, build, and scale out DevSecOps services and infrastructure
• Develop automation to support service deployment to improve the availability, performance, and ease of use and management of containerized images
• Automate the configuration and hardening of containers
• Configure and manage production instances, including front/back-end services, build configurations, infrastructure components, deployment of services into our infrastructure, and related activities
• Troubleshoot and debug production code
• Develop documentation, capacity plans, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for containerization
• Position will work within a highly-performing team executing in an Agile software development lifecycle and a DevSecOps framework

Basic Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience with containerized architecture and technology (Docker, Kubernetes).

  Kubernetes experience preferred

• 2+ years of Linux experience of RedHat, CentOS, Scientific Linux or similar Linux/Unix systems.

  Experience installing, configuring, maintaining, tuning and administering Linux operating systems

• 2+ years of experience with system administrative scripting (Bash, Python, etc.)
• Working knowledge of general networking (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, etc.)
• 2+ years experience deploying, managing and operating production containerized clusters, preferably within a cloud environment
• 2+ years experience with multiple DevOps, automation/orchestration/configuration management and continuous integration technologies (Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Jenkins, etc.)
• 1+ year of security best practices and experience in code-based configuration, load-balancing, auto-scaling, monitoring, networking and problem solving in a cloud environment
• 1+ year working with and understanding security concepts including but not limited to firewalls, encryption, identity management, and hardening
• 2+years experience implementing security best practices in production environments
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field

Desired Skills:

• AWS or Azure Professional Level certification
• Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field

Security Clearance Requirements:

• Active TS/SCI clearance to start

If you are hired into a Colorado work location, the targeted annual compensation range for this position is between $140,000 and $160,000.

This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.

There is a potential for eligibility for performance bonus based on manager discretion.  The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2.
