Job Description

What you will be doing:

As a Developer Evangelist, you will help us fulfill our mission by connecting with other developers and sharing your knowledge and experience about FIS and other leading technologies at conferences and meetups, in contributed articles, and on blogs, podcasts, and social media. Your work will foster a community inspired by FIS and Worldpay developer experiences and will drive our strategy around developer love and participation in the developer ecosystem.

  • Lead the conversation around the latest technology advancements and best practices in the developer community
  • In close collaboration with marketing, create engaging content, including technical talks, blog posts, demos, and videos, that educates developers on important technologies and trends
  • Support FIS product and engineering efforts by sharing what you learn while engaging with the wider developer community and the tech community, at large
  • Conduct interviews with media via phone, podcasts, video, and in-person
  • Create a developer community and network for both partner and 3rd party developers
  • Be a leader within FIS and in the wider community
  • May require up to 40% travel

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of FIS products and technical API knowledge with a software development background
  • Effective presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of financial services industry and associated products
  • Excellent skills in communicating ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management in an organized, professional manner
  • Relationship management skills, understanding and focusing on clients’ needs, establishing credibility and building positive, professional, relationships with clients
  • Requires strong time management skills, attention to detail and must be resourceful
