JOB DESCRIPTION: As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for/expected to:
* Design, install, administer, upgrade, patch and performance tune Oracle, PostrgeSQL, Mongo databases. * Database administration of systems for sensitive data processing, using a variety ingest methods and data management techniques. * Manage a variety of data types, database functionality, compliance standards and availability requirements.
* Ensure database backups are performed and valid (i.e. RMAN, tape).
* Perform account management (i.e. password updates/tablespace management/index rebuilds) and data migrations.
* Ensure various security requirements are met such as vulnerability scans.QUALIFICATIONS: * EXPERIENCE: * Minimum of 4 years experience in a related field of support.
* Writing, changing and understanding scripting in various languages such as Windows, Korn/Bash, Python.
* Linux, RHEL 6 or later
* Oracle/PostgreSQL/Mongo database administration experience to include designing, installing, administering, upgrading, patching and performance tuning.
* Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, SQL*Plus and SQL Developer, Oracle Enterprise Manager.
* Managing database systems in conjunction with datastore systems in high availability, system redundancy environments.
* Database security analysis and vulnerability remediation process.
* Oracle 11g R2 or higher. * EDUCATION: * Bachelors degree in a relevant computer field.
* OR
* 4 additional years relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelors degree.
* CERTIFICATION: * Oracle Certified Associate or Oracle Certified Professional
