About the Role
EMI Advisors is seeking a dedicated Data Scientist to support an enterprise performance measurement transformation.
You have hands-on experience researching, evaluating, and piloting advanced visualization and modeling tools to design state-of-the-art data visualizations.
You will partner closely with senior government leaders to design and deliver data visualization focused on the enterprise level concerns.
As a key member of our data team, you will deliver dashboarding, data pipelining, process improvement, workflow automation, and predictive modeling.
Your ability to visualize your data and tell its story will help our clients make informed decisions that drive success and transform the way we operate.

Key Responsibilities
– Lead the analysis, evaluation, and planning for methods of approach, and organize means to achieve the solution to highly complex problems with multiple stakeholders.
– Provide clear and regular technical and administrative input to professional, technical, and administrative personnel assigned to a project.
– Recognize and address issues which may impact the statistical integrity of the evidence development program or recognition of data sets for which different statistical tools may add value.
– Serve as a subject matter expert in many aspects of data science and provide functional excellence in data mining, data analysis and modeling, and data management and processing
– Propose new ideas and recommend implementation plans leading to enhanced efficiencies including faster review and analysis of data
– Work with other analytics teams and multi-task on projects to summarize and synthesize data
– Apply data gathering methods to create KPIs that align with the strategic goals of EMI and our clients
– Lead measurement of value added of visualization features, adjust dashboards, and work with UX ensure optimal user engagement
– Develop and maintain design documents and interface specifications
– Manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously and drive delivery
– Use various software including spreadsheets and presentation software to prepare reports and/or special projects
Basic Qualifications
– U.S.
citizenship
– DC Metro area commuting
– An available portfolio that demonstrates a proven interest in the art of visual displays of data
– 3+ years of documented experience providing regular and ad hoc analysis and reporting, client collaboration, presentation, and delivery
– Proven ability to lead initiatives that align to client direction
– Proven ability to work independently and in project teams with aggressive schedules
– Attention to detail and strong organization skills
– Sound business judgement, proven ability to influence leaders, and track record of taking ownership
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically advanced M.S.
Excel features, M.S.
Access or equivalent database experience preferred)
– Have experience with Tableau, Power BI, and equivalent applications
– Have experience with predictive modelling
– Excellent communications skills in a professional environment (written and spoken)
– Have experience with Lean and Agile delivery methodologies
– Ability to maintain confidentiality on sensitive items
– BA or BS degree
Preferred Qualifications
– Six Sigma Yellow Belt or higher preferred
– Experience with Qlik and Databricks
– Display interest in technology innovation, artificial intelligence, financial management, or supply chain management
