Controls Programmer Controls Engineer

This Controls Programmer Controls Engineer will be writing PLC’s to automate new machines made from scratch onsite at a controls company where the primary focus is on robot cells, material handling and conveyor systems including sorting, custom machinery and testing equipment.

Sales have been doubling annually.

Employees are not pigeon-holed here as projects vary greatly.

Employees could be involved in a monstrous software project and then go to a panel design.

There’s a lot of variation and opportunity to continue to learn.

They do custom work and work with a lot of other bigger companies and, often times, follow their standards.

You may be programming a CNC one day, an Allen Bradley another day and a Siemens PLC the next day.

It’s a great company for less experienced engineers to work because there is an opportunity to learn a lot and work on a great variety of things.

This person will install, troubleshoot and program control systems.

The machines are new and unique so this person will always be working on something new.

Depending on the person’s background, this could be a junior or senior level position.

The characteristics of the successful candidate will include the following:

• Experience creating and changing PLCs
• Possess a willingness to travel 60%-more travel is available for those who enjoy travel.
