Contract Managers (“CMs”) are responsible for oversight and governance of vendors throughout the organization, specifically as they relate to contract development, administration and management.
The CMs will monitor and communicate with vendors and Caliber Lines of Business (“LOBs”) to ensure new and existing vendor contracts undergo the appropriate review and scrutiny, Caliber policies and procedures are followed, and regulatory and investor requirements are adhered to.
The CM will also be the liaison between Legal, IT, Finance, Compliance, Risk, Transformation, and other functional areas to ensure a smooth vendor onboarding process.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Drafting, evaluating, redlining, and overseeing the management of vendor contracts throughout the contract lifecycleWork with contracts related but not limited to Facilities, HR, Finance, Marketing, Software, IT Infrastructure, Transformation and staff augmentation Act as the lead and collaborate with LOBs and prospective vendors to fully understand products and/or services being provided to appropriately assess vendor risk ratings and criticality Assure accuracy and appropriateness of contract and exhibits Resolve critical issues prior to contract execution and adhere to the Vendor Management policy and processes for contract management Submit contracts through DocuSign and follow through until executed Maintain vendor information and documents within the VMO contract management system, correcting data fields as necessary Maintain correspondence and documentation related to contracts Review contract expiring report and take action to process contract renewals and terminations with LOB Maintain deadlines on department SLAs and communicate on an ongoing basis with business partners and internal clients about contractual issues.
Confirm appropriate follow up of outstanding vendor due diligence items Assist with vendor reviews, RFP comparisons and selection, and notify LOB if existing vendors provide similar services; assist with consolidating vendors when appropriate to drive preferred pricing and stronger relationships Assist with resolving contract issues Special projects and other assigned duties and responsibilities as required QUALIFICATIONS: Ten years’ experience as individual contributor in one or more of the following: Contract development and oversight Vendor oversight Operational or Vendor Risk Management JD preferred, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience Understanding of the mortgage or financial industry’s regulatory requirements for the managing of third-party vendors (CFPB, FNMA, HUD, OCC, etc.) is a plus Strong understanding of information technology and contracts related to software licensing, infrastructure, and staff augmentation services.
