Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.Job DescriptionThe Xfinity Assistant team is working to create and deliver the fastest, most intuitive, and most responsive experience for our virtual assistant.As a Software Engineer 2, you will be responsible for delivering innovative experiences that elevate the web and mobile web platforms to improve the customer experience.
In this role you will join a seasoned team that is currently moving quickly to convert our Web SDK to a Progressive Web App (PWA), taking advantage of improved performance and app-like features.
In addition, you will continue to enhance our Web SDK and have opportunities to work on other high-profile projects like our Flex Box (TV) SDK.Core ResponsibilitiesAnalyzes and determines integration needs.Evaluates and plans software designs, test results and technical manuals.Reviews literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.Programs new software, web applications and supports new applications under development and the customization of current applications.Edits and reviews technical requirements documentation.Works with Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements.Displays knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts, skills and their application in the area of specified engineering specialty.Displays knowledge of and ability to apply, process design and redesign skills.Displays in-depth knowledge of and ability to apply, project management skills.Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:B.S.
in Computer Science or a related field (or the equivalent experience of such a degree)2-5 years of experience in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript2 years of experience in ReactJSExperience working with API / Web ServicesHands-on experience with WebSockets and socket libraries (e.G.
