CNC Lathe Operator/Programmer

Well established mold manufacturer in LA area looking for experienced CNC Lathe programmer/operator. Candidates must possess the following skills and experience:

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years experience setting up own work, programming and operating CNC lathe. Experience with tight tolerance machining preferred.
• Must be able to read, interpret, and follow CAD models and blueprints
• Mastercam experience is required.
• Job shop experience preferred.
• Experience with set up and programming machines for unattended night runs.
• Experience with tooling speeds and feeds necessary to meet quality and production standards.
• Knowledge of raw materials, cutting tool geometry and tolerances
• Knowledge of precision inspection equipment and methods (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
• Strong basic math/shop math skills
• General machining skills with good mechanical aptitude needed
• Must be capable of monitoring machine performance (i.e. tool wear, cycle time, product quality, etc.) and identify and correct any issues
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Satisfactory record of recent job performance, safety performance and attendance
