We are looking for a Cloud Security Engineer with extensive experience and working knowledge with Google Cloud, Azure, and AWS to support our client’s efforts to move to a cloud environment. This job is located in Merrifield, VA with some remote capability during the pandemic at the discretion of the customer. Preferred candidates will live within a commutable distance to this location. This support contract provides a broad range of cyber services to all components under the CISO including cyber operations, cyber risk, security engineering and digital integration departments. The client’s enterprise consists of over 600,000 employees, 500,000 devices, 200,000 enterprise email accounts, 200,000 endpoints, 800 firewall sets, and 640+ URLs of which 350 require web application firewall protection. What You’ll Do: * Work with the Certification & Accreditation team supporting and continuously improving the C&A process and toolset capabilities. * Responsible for the security architecture across a variety of applications or domains, including cloud computing and assigned projects & initiatives of large size, complexity, and risk. * Develop actionable security blueprints, principles, models, designs, standards, and guidelines to ensure enterprise information technology architecture and support is consistent, usable, secure, and adds value to the business. * Document design specifications, installation instructions, and other system-related information to integrate and migrate existing and planned platforms in support of an organization’s enterprise architecture. * Discern protection needs (e.g., security controls) to compare an organization’s protection requirements to its information security guidance; identifies gaps in its security architecture, presents considerations for applicability and risk, and provides recommendations for remediation. Requirements Education + Experience * A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, similar technical discipline or equivalent experience * U.S. Citizenship * Scripting – python, Perl, JavaScript * Experience with Windows, Linux, and cloud environments * Certification in one or more of the following: Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-103 and/or 104), MCSE Productivity, Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500), Microsoft 365 Security Administration (MS-500) * Strong verbal and written communications skills; must be able to effectively communicate technical details and thoughts in non-technical/general terminology to various levels of the organization. * Work well in team environments with internal and external resources as well as work independently on tasks * Experience working in a very large environment and can work well under pressure * Strong organizational, and time management skills. Security Clearance Requirements * Ability to obtain Public Trust (or higher) government clearance. Active USPS Sensitive clearance preferred.
