Cloud Security Consultant

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Boston, MA that is seeking a motivated, self-starting individual to join our dynamic Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) project team as a Cloud Security Consultant. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the establishment of the CCoE, including the design and development of the Azure and AWS security architectures.

Summary:
As a Cloud Security Consultant you will work to implement processes and procedures to protect FERPA/PHI/PII and research data deployed across multiple cloud and cloud/hybrid systems. This position will directly contribute to the overall global enterprise cloud architecture and provide the security vision and strategy around all types of cloud-based applications including Infrastructure, Platform, and Software as a Service (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS).

Reporting directly to the Director of Cloud & Research Computing, the Cloud Security Consultant will also serve as the central point of contact for the Office of Information Security (OIS) within Information Technology Services (ITS) for all matters related to cloud security. Excellent interpersonal communication skills are critical for establishing successful partnerships with leaders across the university to identify opportunities and risks in the development and deployment of solutions that support business strategies and protect intellectual property globally.

Job Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Analysis, or another technology related field
• 5 years of experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, VMware
• Working knowledge of enterprise data center technologies including storage platforms, network switching, and security infrastructure within a virtualized data center
• Experience with assessment, development, implementation, optimization, and documentation of a comprehensive and broad set of security technologies and processes within SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud environments, including secure software development (Application Security), data protection, cryptography, key management, identity, and access management (IAM), network security
• Working knowledge of common and industry standard cloud-native/cloud-friendly authentication mechanisms (SAML, OAuth, OpenID, etc.)
• Experience with deployment orchestration, automation, and security configuration management
• Experience working with cloud security and governance tools, cloud access security brokers (CASBs), and server virtualization technologies
• Experience performing threat modeling and design reviews to assess security implications and requirements for introduction of new technologies
• Ability to clearly articulate design and implementation choices
• Experience with enterprise architecture and working as part of a cross-functional team to implement solutions
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; Ability to work in a team environment
