RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Kforce client is seeking to hire a Cloud Data Engineer in Fairfax, Virginia (VA). In this role you will be involved in the processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis, be able to create automated anomaly detection systems, track performance, and carry out other ad-hoc analysis as required. Responsibilities include:
- Collecting data through means such as analyzing business results or by setting up and managing new studies
- Transferring data into a new format to make it more appropriate for analysis (Oracle to PostgreSQL)
- Creating new, experimental frameworks to collect data
- Building tools to automate data collection
- Creating reports and presentations for business uses
- Correlating similar data to find actionable results
- Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions
- Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques, and business strategies
- Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques
- Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets
- Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes
- Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes
- Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy

REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with Azure Data Factory to include the Microsoft integration runtime configurations
- Experience with Oracle to Postgres DB migrations using Ora2Pg
- Experience with Azure Managed Postgres
- Experience with Azure Data Lake V2
- Experience with Azure Synapse Studio
- Convert users and groups to Azure Postgres
- Analytical curiosity, strong data-oriented skills, and a statistical programming background
- Possess a successful track record of designing and developing AI/ML algorithms for private or public sector solutions
- Highly detailed-oriented with exceptional organizational and follow-through skills
- Self-starter and able to execute without a lot of direction or oversight
- Exceptional communication skills, with an ability to make advanced analytics concepts accessible, and understandable to non-technical business user
