Cisco Systems Network Security Consulting Engineer with Security Clearance

Position Summary FedData Technology Solutions, LLC (FDTS) is seeking a Cisco Systems Network Security Consulting Engineer. This position requires a motivated, highly experienced Cisco Systems Network Security Consulting Engineer to support a large, highly visible strategic federal program aligned to aggressive transformational agendas. Strong technical leadership and ability to translate business/mission requirements into technical solutions are key skills for success. We are “Cisco’s Face to the Customer,” working in a fast-paced, high-impact environment as a critical, visible contributor to the Cisco/Client team. A seasoned mix of deep Cisco security product knowledge as well as excellent communication and consulting skills. As a Network Security Consulting Engineer who specializes in Cisco security products and solutions, you will support an important federal customer through the development of complex designs, implementation and support of Cisco leading edge technologies, and delivery of optimization services to one of Cisco’s strategically important customers in the United States. Essential Job Functions * design, integrate, and implement complex network architecture solutions after reviewing the network security. * design network configurations, plan and perform elaborate network migrations and upgrades. * Perform analysis and diagnosis of complex networking, security, or collaboration problems. * Act as the technical specialist for complex deployments. Minimum Required Qualifications * Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access, U.S. Citizenship is required. * Required Security Clearance: Candidate must have TS/SCI w/FS Poly Clearance * Bachelor’s degree in technology or the sciences, or 12 years industry-equivalent experience * Must have 7+ years of experience as a Cisco Security engineer supporting Cisco technologies/products in large scale enterprise environments, with a solid foundation of route and switch technologies. * Must have experience in Cisco solutions such as ISE, ASA Firewall/VPN, Firepower. * Ability to articulate a vision, influence and guide teams in dynamic strategic environments through design, deployment, analysis of complex security solutions. * Capability to anticipate issues, evaluate risks, and proactively collaborate and lead resolution. * Significant experience with end-to-end architecture/design work across security technology areas, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems. * Strong communication, consulting and customer relationship building skills with ability to work autonomously and thrive in a transformational environment. Desired/Preferred Skills: * Large scale enterprise design, engineering and deployment experience is desired. * Stealthwatch and/or Tetration background preferred, but not required. * Prefer system hardening and availability, Threat Identification and Mitigation, Intrusion Detection & Prevention, Content Security, Identity Management, ASA Firewall/VPN, IOS Firewall and Confidentiality and Secure Access (PKI, IKE, RSA, etc.) Working Conditions: Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager. Physical Requirements: May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
