Ideal background will be with development / QA for billing systems / BSS / OSS, and / or telecom billing.
Below is a brief outline of what we are seeking for this role.
Role: Manager for the reporting software delivery team.
The candidate will be responsible for guiding the team to deliver top-quality reporting solutions.
The candidate will also provide technical guidance to the team members as well as process improvement and adherence.
Qualifications: 4 year degree in Business or computer science required.
Minimum 8 years of progressive responsibility on a development or quality assurance team required.
Minimum 2-3 years proven record as an effective team leader required.
Understanding and familiarity of telecom back office, billing and revenue assurance preferred Technical knowledge and experience in Telecommunications, BSS/OSS systems, preferably Oracle BRM, formerly Portal Infranet Proven track record for delivering consistent results of high-quality, and on time deliveries.
Strong technical competency in any or all the following platforms is strongly preferred: Informatica MicroStrategy Oracle PL/SQL packages and procedures Data modelling Java PHP Experience with designing and executing various test cycles Familiarity with Testrail Test Case Management tool Team-oriented mentality and experience working as part of a team to achieve complex goals Thorough understanding of System Development Life Cycle required.
Duties and Responsibilities: Manage a team of approximately 5 resources consisting of development and quality assurance .
Ensure product deliveries meet business requirements and are delivered in a complete and well-packaged manner for the operations team to deploy and operate.
Participates in requirements gathering sessions to ensure the proper set up and use of back office systems Ensure team adheres to agreed-upon process for our agile development and test cycle Implement team metrics to measure velocity, and quality Provide day to day technical direction to ensure industry standard best practices for development and testing are implemented Provide guidance to the Software Engineering team and other departments in identifying product and technical requirements.
Direct implementation initiatives for new software products and applications.
Organizes software update process for existing applications and coordinates the roll-out of software releases.
Work closely with the operations support team supporting the configuration, back office and customer service processes.
Troubleshoot and assist in resolving complex system issues that may have a negative impact on revenue or customer perceptions.
Recommend process improvements as development or customer needs dictate to enhance or maintain efficiencies for internal customers and reduce risk of revenue loss.
Assists with the integration, documentation and launch of new product offering Provides excellent example of professionalism, and dedication to team goals.
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
