Position Overview : The F-15 program has an exciting opportunity for an engineer to contribute as a systems engineer on F-15 EX tech insertion planning activities (contracted) as well as Independent Research and Development projects (IRAD; internally funded).
Theselected candidate will be involved in planning, coordinating, designing, and developing solutions for tech insertion projects that will ensure the longevity of the F-15 EX program, across mission systems capability, producibility, and sustainment areas.
The role will be within the Advanced Technologies and Concepts team, which is one of the areas reporting to the Chief Engineer of the F-15 program.
Position Responsibilities : Project planning, coordination, and tracking for F-15 EX tech insertion and IRAD activities Tech Insertion idea generation, collection, and disposition within tools such as Modernization & Sustainment Strategic Plan (MSSP) tool Ability to grow knowledge into broad areas of tech insertion possibilities across mission systems capability, producibility/affordability, and sustainment Coordination across F-15 engineering and beyond for tech insertion and IRAD projects Work Authorization : This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
An interim and/or final U.S.
Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 2 years of experience working on defense aircraft platforms Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 1 years of engineering experience on a tactical aircraft program Previous experience promoting or working development effort Typical Education/Experience : Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G.
Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.
Master).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
