Louis, MO.
This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) businessorganization.
Boeings Flight Simulations Labs F/A-18 Trainers team in Berkeley, MO.
is looking for an Associate Real Time Software Engineer capable of contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle (requirements, architecture, implementation, and verification) This individual will participate in development of F/A-18 avionics software models to be deployed in the US Navy and Royal Australia Air Force Tactical Operational Flight Trainer (TOFT) and/or Integrated Visual Environment Maintenance Trainer (IVEMT).
These are high-fidelity simulators deployed to USN and RAAF air bases to support training of F/A-18E/F and E/A-18G aircrew and aircraft maintainers.
Position Responsibilities:Assists with the development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systemsAssists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are metSupports software project management and software supplier management functionsSelects, tailors and deploys processes and tools; establishes metricsTroubleshoots software issuesWorks under general supervision This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements: This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
Ability to obtain Interim U.S.
Secret Clearance (Pre-Start) and a final Secret U.S.
Clearance (Post-Start) is required.

Secret Clearance (Pre-Start) Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline (Software, Electrical, Computing, Systems Engineering, Computer Science or similar)Experience in Object-Oriented ProgrammingExperience with C++ Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience in embedded real-time software developmentExperience with Microsoft Visual StudioStrong communication skillsCapable of working in a multi-tasking environment while supporting multiple concurrent activities Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G.
Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.
Master)In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard Travel: There will be up to 10% travel required with this position.
