Find your future with us.The Boeing Defense, Space and Security division is seeking a MQ-25 Mechanical Systems Engineer 5 in Hazelwood, MO.Position Responsibilities:Lead Engineer for MQ-25 Environmental Control Systems.
Also responsible for Ice Protection System, Fire Protection, and Pylon Air Pressurization System.
Lead engineering team in design, development, integration, test, qualification, and implementation of these mechanical systems for MQ-25 program.
Will work closely with suppliers to oversee technical aspects of design, development, and qualification.
Requires solid communication skills and technical leadership.
Directs the development and documentation of large scale, complex mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design.
Develops new design/analysis processes and tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort.
Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
Serves as technical consultant for disposition, corrective actions and coordination with cross-functional groups to identify/implement solutions and drive strategic improvements relative to production processes.
Coaches and mentors others.
Works under consultative direction.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S.
Security Clearance for which the U.S.
Government requires U.S.
Citizenship.An interim and/or final U.S.
Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Typically 10-15+ years on aircraft mechanical systems design 3+ years of experience in technical oversight of mechanical systems suppliers 3+ years of Team/Technical leadership experience Bachelors degree in engineering fieldPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience on aircraft development/modification programsTypical Education & Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G.
Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.
PhD+9 years’ related work experience, Master+12 years’ related work experience).
