This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) businessorganization.
Advanced Design Simulation (ADS) is a group which provides a rapid prototyping, operator-in-the-loop simulation of advanced aircraft, both manned and unmanned, with a focus on providing virtual experimentation and development support to programs in the early to mid-lifecycle of product development.
It is a low cost and flexible alternative to other types of flight and hardware/software simulations.
ADS flexibility supports various types of activities and analysis across the product lifecycle such as:Customer engagement in the design processSystem level requirements definitionOperational analysisValidation of constructive analysisSupport of program captureStep-in Operator control of Digital Aircraft (SODA) capability within other Boeing simulation environments Position Responsibilities:Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systemsDevelops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software systemDevelops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are metPerforms software project management and software supplier management functionsDevelops, selects, tailors and deploys software processes, tools and metricsExecutes and documents software research and development projectsServes as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulationsTracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standardsWorks under general direction This position allows telecommuting.

Required Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):Requires an active Secret U.S.
Security Clearance5+ years of professional experience with C, C++, C#, Java, or AdaWindows based software development, using tools such as Visual Studio & Git Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Ability to work with minimal or ambiguous requirementsReal-time simulation experienceKnowledge of aviation and systemsCommon Boeing simulation tools such as Common Simulation Framework, Distributed Simulation Application Components, UXGraphics development experience using OpenGL Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G.
Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.
PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience)In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard Travel: Occasional travel may be required but would be less than 10%.
