This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) businessorganization.
At Boeing, our software engineers use their expertise to dream up next generation software capabilities for some amazing aerospace platforms.

The Products and Capabilities organization is a BDS business unit software factory that is all about rapidly innovating and deploying new solutions to the dynamic defense industry.
We have a number of existing and growing software product families.
Our teams embrace an Agile mindset allowing them to adjust and adapt to changing customer demands.
The Products and Capabilities organization leverages the complex interconnection of digital threads between BDS’s modeling and simulation environment and the platforms currently in service today, as well as future products.
In addition our DevSecOps initiative lays the foundation to create a secure Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CICD) pipeline to ensure safety, quality, and security, which are key tenants for our defense customers.

Partnering with both internal and external organizations, the Interoperability team provides the technical leadership to develop key enabling technologies and execute demonstrations to support the seamless sharing of data and information with other platforms.
This includes managing onboard data links, moderating communication paths and available bandwidth, and translating between onboard and offboard messaging standards.
The selected team member enjoys working collaboratively with others, has a commitment to customer satisfaction and process improvement.
They will support the development of solutions to a wide range of complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation.

Position Responsibilities:Design and develop interoperability services using real-time software architectures and designsDevelop models of various data link and/or networking protocolsServe as subject matter expert in network-centric software developmentContinuous learning of various standards related to Link-16, TTNT, and Open Mission Systems (OMS)Lead junior engineers in software developmentDevelop interface definitionsPerform unit and integration testingParticipate in peer reviewsand provide guidance on software engineering best practices This position allows telecommuting.
The selected candidate may be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements: This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
Ability to obtain a final U.S.
Secret Clearance (Post-Start) is required.
